Ranch Hands
Ranch Hands
Mike Tuttle: Raised in Mississippi, his family’s horse purchasing criteria consisted of 3 factors: could he plough, could you catch him, could he be ridden. He had to sneak under cover of night to his fishing honey holes and hope he didn't get shot at for trespassing by the neighbors. (Anyone hear a redneck joke coming on???) He has had fun purchasing horses on a new set of criteria: looks, smoothness of ride, and personality (catchability still a plus). He has also enjoyed being able to fish without dodging bullets and in broad daylight!
Stephanie Tuttle: Raised in Georgia never understood why they couldn't just get a horse and keep it in the backyard. Now she has a herd in her backyard. Stephanie loves having guests come and enjoy playing at the ranch while experiencing God’s beautiful creation. She has also enjoyed an unexpected benefit of the ranch – it has kept Mike closer to home as he no longer has to go to Mexico to catch a fish!
Derek and Jennifer Stewart: Derek is head foreman and overseer of the ranch. He lives on the property with his wife Jennifer and daughters Sarah and Hannah. Derek can do absolutely anything; we are all convinced. He is all-around handyman and can apparently fix anything, he has a background training horses and is quickly learning the cattle business. He is also a talented musician and can be heard preaching on occasion in nearby churches. Jennifer is making a name for herself in the town as a math teacher who can reach any student. And thanks to Sarah who has been charming the miniature horses in her free time, they are now quite kid-friendly.
